How to become games beta tester without being paid?

Hello there, so I was wondering what games to play and what to do while watching videos on YouTube. I enjoy above all multiplayer fps games. I could not find out on Google a solution because it is written that we need to follow a formation for becoming beta tester and apparently we need to be paid for this. The thing is, I don't have the time to go to school and I would like to become a beta tester for free, without being paid and not games on phone but only pc. Any advice?

I find the opt in to Beta tester is found in a game we own. When the devs have a new version of the game they post in the news there is beta test version of it and players can simply opt in.

Valve is adding a feature to Steam to let developers invite people to test their games right from the Steam client without needing a beta key. The new feature, called Steam Playtest, will let interested testers click a button in a game’s listing on the Steam store to request access and be added to a queue.
