How can I view what steam is connected to? (linked to, similar to linking Spotify with Discord...connections)

I have read other posts saying there is no linking, only tokens, but this can't be all. I am trying to unlink my steam profile with an epic games account it forcibly made when I played rocket league after it was ruined by epic. (...CrookedTiger### if you were wondering what it named me without my consent, I don't even know its password, I was never given it.). I am trying to link my ACTUAL epic games account but it SAYS "THAT STEAM ACCOUNT IS ALREADY LINKED TO AN EPIC ACCOUNT" when I try. I can't play Risk of rain 2 after the new update linking Epic and Steam cross platform play. Please. ASSIST.

Unlinking Steam from Epic is done at Epic.

From what you describe, you actually have 2 Epic accounts, one that was made when you played Rocket League and your "actual" one. You need to get in touch with Epic to figure out how to get the Rocket League account disconnected from your Steam account.

I cannot log in to that account. It literally did not give me an account ID or password.

Hence...why I vowed to never play rocket league again

I am contacting them as we speak, but I don't think they can help as I can't provide the password for the account I want, essentially, wiped of the face of the earth.

You'd have to follow Epic's account recovery on that account to gain access to it then.

Steam itself doesn't link to anything, hence no list. All linking is external.

Rayleigh from Epic Games Support sorted it out. Y'know, they might be a little...special, but their support and communication is great.

Maybe this helps when someone stumbles over this too, I had the problem when playing Rocket League over Steam and wanted to play with someone playing over the Epic Launcher. As I wanted to link my Steam account to my Epic account, I got the error, that another account is alreay linked with this Steam account. (This is the a problem on consoles and other Epic game like Fortnite or Fall Guys, too.)
The reason is, when you first start an Epic game on other platforms if you don't chose to create an Epic account on the first login or if the game doesn't give you the possibility to do this (Rocket Leage didn't ask me for that), the game will create a temporary or nameless (this is how Epic calls this) Epic account for you in the background. You need to unlink your Steam or console account from this nameless account first, by converting the nameless account in a full account...
 
1. Therefore go to https://www.epicgames.com/id/login and chose to login in with with your Steam or console account.
2. If the Epic account linked with this Steam or console account is a nameless account, you will now be asked to register, do this!
3. After registration you can go to the connection management in your account management https://epicgames.com/account/connections and unlink the Steam or console account (online progress of games may be lost now / reside in this account)
4. Logout of this account, login to your desired Epic account go to https://epicgames.com/account/connections again and link now your Steam or console account manually with it.
