But this is why I create the topic,
Before I open it I spend around a hour to click on all suggestions and I do not find anything which is related to my case, and the bigger problem (may be is in me) I was not able to find how I can open a dedicated case, also I search in i-net and was not able to find nothing useful as well
usually, contact the support suppose to be something extremely easy .
note: Since the last almost 8 years I never have a case to contact the support so ..
The difference, the games will always need that sim card (steam)
What you found out, is the reason they sell games here. Its the baseline of this thing.
Even if you get a key, its just letters. If the one who handed you that key stops accepting it, its gone.
Thats why i buy games as cheap as possible. That way this has a benefit for me.
Also steam do not own the games, they just sell it, so why we should be limited ?!!, also usually when you get a phone locket to provider ... this is because you get a special contract with the gms service provider and this is the reason why the phone is lock !
With a store.
You just did not see it.
And all the other things like ea and ubisoft clients too.
Technically when you buy on Steam you aren't owed a non-Steam version. And to address your concerns, if Steam would ever go under, there is a big chance you lose all your games on Steam.
example: I do not remember the company which provide "stream playing", was a good one I use it before years, but in some point sony obtain it, in one beautiful day , they site announce no more service.
Now this example is different from steam, I know .. it was monthly fee for the service, you do not own anything, just use the games via software stream client .. but still is a good example
..\Steam\steamapps\common\ ..
And most developers sell digitally.
So you must make the choice that benefits you:
Buy as cheap as possible, so its as cheap as renting (kind of). This is my approach to this.
Also 777 games ... this is not really cheap :D (yep from 2014 till now but still .. )
Which is why you can't contact support asking for a list of "CD keys" on your account. Most purchases don't even use the outdated CD key system. But even for licenses that you added to your account with a CD key, they will not provide this info to you.
Your proof of purchase would be the receipts, activation emails, and/or bank statements.
