Stuck in Synchronizing steam cloud

Is the steam cloud down or something? I'm trying to open a game but the sync status thing keeps on staying in "synchronizing cloud". When i click play it only says "Synchronizing steam cloud". and then always ends with "Unable to sync". I've clicked on my other games and they did the same thing too. Restarted steam and it still happens? What is happening??

yea nothings worked and the game won't open and when I did get it to it finally said the cloud was done but after about 2 hours it kicked me right out and said the cloud was stuck at 100% again ughhh

I have the excact same problem right now. I tried switching to US los but didnt work either, it wasnt loading the cloud at all. my region is greece, is there another way to fix it that may work?

UPDATE: It says failed to sync with steam cloud after leaving it for a while.

I recommend all of you stop replying that you have the same issue unless you tell us how you decided to get around the problem. It irritates me how it doesn't even provide a good answer and will only fill this thread up. I've pinned the solution that worked for me. And if it doesn't, just wait a couple hours. Worked for some people too

While I understand your frustration with this, keep in mind that having people report that a fix did not work for them is useful information, since it tells you that it's not necessarily you that's doing something wrong, and people are coming here specifically for help so of COURSE they're not going to help find solutions

As for an alternate fix for other people, reinstall the game. The offline/change servers trick did not work for me, but specifically reinstalling the games that were stuck syncing did. At the very least, it kicks other games stuck in the syncing out of that loop, and just gives you the option to not launch while synced.

Had this issue, came across this thread from googling about it. Process of changing servers seems to have fixed mine too, I was on Australia-Sydney, swapped to the Melbourne DC and the cloud save synced instantly.

Then I cleared the download cache--that looked like it fixed it, a number of my games claimed to update successfully to cloud. Then I try to launch them, and they get stuck synching.
