Can't run any x64 game on Windows XP x64 after march 2018.
After February\March 2018 I can't run any of my games in 64-bit mode on my Windows XP x64. But these games are officially support Windows XP x64:
7 days to die
Cities Skylines
Sandbox Universe 2
Train Fever
Before February\March 2018 everything was fine.
Upgrading to Vista\7\8\10 is not a solution.

You should not even be using XP at this point..... for anything....games should be the least of your worries.

Instead of buying those 3-4 new games coming up....get Windows 10. A new OS HAS to be an option if you want to continue gaming on a PC.

Those 4 games will run on Linux, or you could use Windows 8/8.1 or 10 without activation.
I also have to wonder about the age of the hardware... might be cool to see what is out there?

I'm also pretty sure Linux has more games than XP...

I have a reasons for XP x64. These games support Windows XP x64, so I want play these games on XP x64. Not Vista or 7, or even 10.

If you really want a solution for this problem, then you're going to have to post more information. Like error messages. Errors listed in Event Viewer about the game processors would help too.

Most ppl ar eunaffected by meltdown in the first place as they dont run multiple VM's which are comprimised. Meltdown was an issue that you could read out the RAM from one VM out of another VM. Unless you run large server clusters with multiple virtual servers or VM from which one is comprised then you where unaffected int he first place.

Besides that you can use Windows 10 for free there is really no reason to still sue XP. And not all games support XP anymore. They mabye did in the past but the license agreement you signed by installing always stake that requriements change over time.

So unless OP gets a modern OS and not want to stick to a 15 year old OS there is no obvios solution despite seeing if something since march has changed in the settings or drivers.

(Again) You could also use Windows 8/8.1 without activation ...

What is the reason to stick with XP and what do you plan to do in the future?

For example 7 days to die output_log:

2018-04-24T17:56:49 18.792 INF [Steamworks.NET] SteamAPI_Init() failed. Refer to Valve's documentation or the comment above this line for more information.

XP 64 Bit version where not regular OS version that where tailored version only working with specific CPU's. And apperently Steam framework API does not support thsoe irregular OS anymore. (Why should they still support a 15 year old OS?)

ask over at the hardware and os forum , running a unsupported (by ms) , old, outdated os is going to give you problems

1st thing, I have hardware that older than XP, so it doesn't support Vista-gen Win. 2nd reason, I don't have enough time for reinstall XP to Vista or 7.

If you know anything about PC's, you should know that you cannot use obsolete hardware or software forever. You don't have a choice, you upgrade or you don't play PC games. It really is that simple.

reinstallign an OS takes me 15 minutes tops. Windows 10 was installed on my PC in 5 minutes and another 4 minutes incl 5 reboots for the drivers.
Second just because your hardware is odler then XP doesnt mean it cant run a newer OS. Besides that if your hardware is older then 15 years then there is no way you can run games like Cities skyline
