Purchasing Steam Keys from a Foreign Vendor
Hi, newbie here to Steam. Just recently Wario64 loaded up a deal for Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Experience. The link is found here:

https://www.gamebillet.com/metal-gear-solid-the-definitive-experience

The vendor appears to be European, I'm in the United States. The only restriction appears to be downloading the game from China, but is that all there is to worry about? Will the North American version of the game download, or will it be a European region game? Assuming the code is accepted by the Steam client and I'm able to boot the game successfully without use of a VPN, does that mean I'm playing a game specific to my region? Thanks.

In order to actually be 100% positive that your purchases are legit, *buy them only on steam*.

Gamebillet is a legitimate reseller partnered directly with publishers, its a featured site on /r/gamedeals where they vet their sources. I didn't hear of it at first, but if it's backed by Wario64, who's usually pretty reliable when it comes to game deals. Otherwise I'm with you, I typically buy from Steam, or well-known partnered vendors like Humble Bundle, Fanatical, Green Man Gaming, etc.
