"Failed to initialize Direct3D" error, need help

Essentially, any game that utilizes DirectX 9 and this "Direct3D" API gives off this error:

I've also made sure that my driver actually has Direct3D acceleration enabled, through nVidia driver reinstallations (which didn't help at all). I've also tried enabling Direct3D under the legacy features list in windows features which didn't work either.

Games using Dx9 did work on my previous Windows 7 partition on my HDD, the error only came up after I've installed Windows 10 on my new SSD (alongside the latest Geforce Experience drivers, but that's about it).

I preferably don't want to reinstall this current Windows 10 partition, as it's a last resort for me.
