Steam Status won't change when in game.
When playing any game in my library - for example Civilization 5, my steam status won't change.

It just displays as - Online. It does not change to "in game", as a result people cannot connect to my games e.t.c.

What may be the issues? I have tried subscribing for beta, restored default interface theme, same issue across all my installed games.

Any ideas?

Thank you for poining that out. Just figured it out myself as well. It's a bit silly as even if I want to keep everything I have private, then people can't connect to me in games. Any workaround?

I think that's an unintended bug and they're working on it.

Check your privacy settings - changes have been made, and now you can opt to not show your "in-game" status. That is set as default.

You can fix it right now by setting your games public in settings if you wish so.
If not, wait until steam fixes it, if it even is a bug.
