Gifting friend wallet funds USA --> Sweden

I have tried to search every where, but I cant seem to find the country restrictions on wallet codes. Can i send my friend a $25 gift card and will they be able to use it to buy games even though there account is in Sweden. Thanks internet people.

Wallet codes can't be redeemed outside of their region. Well, you may get lucky, but when it comes to luck, rather expect them not to work.

Send your friend a digital gift card.

If you have a credit card, or bank transfer, you can simply do gift funds via Steam, which has no region restrictions. Must be friends at least 3 days minimum, if been friends longer, then all good to go.

Please note, you can not transfer what in your Steam wallet to another account, nor can you use it with digital gift funds to send to others, only external payment methods.

Steam physical cards are region restricted, so there good chance it may not work for redeeming NA to EU.

Nope, won't work. Your physical Steam gift card will yield wallet funds and wallet funds can't be transferred (so no digital gift card then).

If your card doesn't work you be told that when trying to check out.

Also if the person doesn't claim the gift within 30 days, it's automatically refunded back to your visa card. If the person see the message saying error they, and not seeing the funds showing up, tell them to restart client as it might have not updated itself as it should.
