but its still MS that need to adjust or work better with steam.
ps
let me put it this way what can steam do with other Brand product that could say jump in lack and die steam. and wont get it to ever work. steam cant do anything about it.
and this is why its a MS issue, this dont ruleout own game devs do they even support it in that game or other game.

But if the button is not stuck, it must be some setting. You could try them on another computer to check this.
But first disable controller settings in steam. It might be it.
I had to disable my extended feature setting and that sorted it all out
