hello,so i got a dm in discord from a guy that accidentally reported me for the theft of other steam accounts instead of the guy he wanted to report,the admin said that if he doesnt verify the mistake, i wil be banned PERMANENTLY from steam within the next 12 hours.help

I just noticed you have a well known scamsite in your name history, so your account might also be compromised...

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a trusted/clean computer.
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Did you read any of what was posted? If you give them your information or trade your items, that's it.

DO NOT TRADE OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR ITEMS.

Anything he "confirms" with you is a lie. You are talking to a scammer.

Let me guess, he showed you a fancy .gif that showed your profile with a "pending ban" and an a button to delete your account? That's a common scare tactic. Anybody can edit a web page like that.

Do all the steps, that scam site might have generated an API key, which will render your steam guard useless. Ensure your account is completely secure.
