Controller trigger sensitivity doesnt work anymore

The trigger sensitivity used to work properly (the deeper i pressed on a racing game, the faster the car would accelerate for ex) but now when i press it halfway through it goes from 0 to 100 instantly. The trigger pressure still seems to work on the input test, but not ingame.
Ive tried changed the controller settings through steam, but it didnt work.

hey i have the same issue i'm trying to setup a config for gta v and want to press the trigger a liiiitttle bit and drive like 5 km/h but this isnt possible.. i have to press the trigger for like 10% before the signal ingame send to the car

Are you using Steam's controller configurator for the config? If so, in the config choose the trigger and set Trigger Response Curve to Aggressive, or set it to Custom Curve and then adjust the Custom Response Curve slider further to the right.

You could also set Trigger Range Start all the way to the left, it's pretty much there by default. Play about with it and see if things are still ok with the deadzone removed.
