Internet speed slows down a sh*t ton when any game is launched

When im not in game i usually have 90-100 mbps. But as soon as i launch any game, instant slow down, nothing loads, siege wont connect at all neither will gta everything lags; youtube, discord, everything. When i close the game i have my normal speed back. please help.

I just solved this on my computer, I wrote about it. Go into lenovo vantage - or your brands system settings and turn off the "network effiency" option. The thing is that the computer only lets the game use the internet connection when this is on.

i have a pc not laptop ;/

Laptops are personal computers as well. In other words, a laptop is a PC.

That said, is the trouble on your computer or your router? Does YOUR internet conection crap out, or is the whole household affected?

Safe boot mode,just because you dont have Lenovo, whatever happend here or other network mangement as QoS or pc cant handle it while DL and game same time , thats still seen as Reciver end cant keep up. in disk write or unpack that use cpu while gameing with AV scan in top of this, all this is seen as older pc that cant keep up.

im sure that work then that pc was new, but things has change game game got way bigger today then 4 years ago. ( many can even said sense 4k general then games got bigger but thats not just that games also got better packing software.

to keep this short, you eed a Monster pc, then you wont even notice it.

huge games years ago was 25gb, and we have past that along time agoi with DLC's and whatever happend down this path. some even think 1gb network is fast, things have change and every user think they have best pc or network, but truth is very diffrent, we as helper here are not after ppl but wake up call is need , and no even 4gb hard disk is seen as small or tiny today.

im sure you can find other tips like Anti virus interference issue or something like that what most forget thats still point at your cpu and how fast it can scan and disk access ( all this still while you play gameswith No lag or sytem try to avoide you get it. ( if you have no QoS or other hardware or app that interference with it, you are already been judge to not have a pc that can handle it. the dual task as game and DL same time.

and it dont help if this is not primary own GPU card but IGPU that run the show now thats still been see as user own faulth. if you even have such onboard.

there are 100 steam post if not 1000 of such post with internal gpu intel card somehow take over the right Nvidia or AMD full 3D card.

reinstall gpu driver and make sure game app use right vard or system do it.


you simple miss to many info on whats you have in spec and we dont ask anymore.
