It's a valid reason wanting to inform someone about warranty regulations before buying something as expensive as a Valve Index set.
Especially if you are unsure if and when how much the regulations have changed.
Especially as the document you linked to does not specify anything about the UK.
@Foxxxy..... if you want to know you'll simply will need to start digging through pages & pages of Steam/Valve T&C's. Good luck with that!
Nearly all EU legislation created before the 31 December 2020 was adopted into UK domestic law.
That might be the case. Steam/Valve need to define WHAT kind of warranty UK customers will receive within their T&C's. Steam/Valve basically need to mention/predetermine if UK customers will get the same EU warranty OR some kind of other warranty :-)
