Steam browser keeps refreshing Reddit
I sometimes use the steam browser to check for info while playing games as I am sure others do (or no one else does this but whatever) anyways, recently it's been acting weird on Reddit. A few days ago it wouldn't show comments on a reddit post and now it's constantly refreshing the page, it got so bad that it locked up my entire overlay. I've cleared browser cache and all that, but to no avail as it still does this. Is this a issue with reddit itself, steam browser or something specific with me? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask I haven't posted much in the Steam specific forums.

Well, it's not just you, as I had this issue yesterday as well. Odd.

Guess the solution is to just wait for it to fix itself then. Thank you.

Same it has already been like this for 3-4 days for me.
I traced the error what causing it to the "steamwebhelper" in the task manager once you close that the browser restarts and works you just can't visit reddit without it messing up again.

"steamwebhelper" from that info Try the clear webcache and cookies also in steam settings under webbrowser.

ps.
the cookie part is to clear old outdate setings steam change and somehow effect current new functions.

ofc restart steam so it can fix itself with new settings
