A massive thread of mine was deleted without any explanation. How can I find out what happened?
I just recently started playing Deep Rock Galactic, and thought it would be nice if a cosmetics pack with female dwarves was added. As the thread went on, it began attracting worse and worse people, until as I was reading it, it suddenly gave me an error before disappearing completely... still with 8 replies unread in it.

I can only assume it attracted to many negative reports or something, but is there some way to know why it was completely deleted instead of just locked, or who deleted it?

Does it really matter who locked/deleted it? It was most likely a mod in the game’s forum.

Deleting a thread is a lesser evil when it just descents into total ugly chaos. Keeping it around just encourages another person to make a new thread, because the “last one was unfairly locked because of debating”.

It's not so much the 'who' I'm curious about as the 'why' of it. I guess it was getting pretty obnoxious though...

The game developer manages their forum; talk to them.

It presumably breached Steams rules for community behaviour

Of course as devs moderate their own forums they can apply stricter criteria than Steam set out.
