Level 6 badges?

If you can only have 5 levels, why do some games have 6 badges? Ex: Spirit of the North and I am pretty sure Planet Zoo (as level five is silver). Is there a way to get that final badge because there's no more options for the trading cards?

Well I thought it worked like that till I got level 12 on the Steam awards badge. It's only meant to go to 10

Well these are game badges that you get from trading cards, but it says I am at the max level, but I know for sure Spirit of the North has another level as it's on the announcement they did that...but not how to get it.

Is it maybe people that have backed them in early access or something? Does seem a bit strange though. If there is only five badges but some people have got six

Game badges have 5 levels. They also have 1 additional foil badge level. Perhaps that is what you mean when you are referring to 6 levels. The foil badge level is a separate badge that requires a full set of foil cards.

The sales badges are not capped to a specific level.

Both Spirit of the North and Planet Zoo only go up to level 5 like all other normal game badges. You're likely confusing the foil badge with a level 6 one.

Thank you, I didn't realize about foil cards. Why are they so much more expensive, but only 100 XP? You'd think they'd give higher XP due to the rarity. Hmmm. Might still get them for my top games, but good to know. I am certainly not going to for Spirit of the North - I didn't like it enough to pay nearly $10 for some cards. 😆

People usually go for foils because of the design rather than the xp. I have a handful of foils on my other account just because I liked the design of the badge more than the regular one. It would be nice if they gave more xp, but they've always been like that and I doubt it will change.

15 cards / set is THE WORST I would rather go with only 5 cards / set. Booster Pack is the fastest way how to get cards. And it's the cheapest way too

You know, depends. Some smaller card sets cost an arm and a leg while some big ones are dirt cheap. Jurassic World, Two Point Hospital, and Planet Zoo are cheaper to buy all the cards for than 5-6 card sets like Spirit of the North.

Wait, can I craft badges for games I don't even have? Interesting idea to level up, but I kinda like it for games I have, but then I don't love all the games I have, so I dunno. 😆

But, no, not looking for foxes, I do like the Spirit Fox badge in particular, but not for that kinda of money.

Game ownership isn't required.

You can trade duplicates for cards that you don't have or you can sell booster packs and make some profit

I gem everything to buy boosters to gem to buy boosters. I rarely keep the stuff you get from completed cards, I was after the profile level up, but I've gotten a few items I have kept that I liked, but considering I could just buy them, that's not what I buy cards for.

I am certainly the type of person helping other people make some cash buying cards from the market. I don't even know why I care about my profile, but I ended up doing so. Go figure. 🤷‍♀️🤣
