Clearing download cache deleted most my games.
Ok so i was trying to fix issues with a game not working, and someone suggest i delete steam download cache which it even says doesnt effect any of the games currently installed, but for some reason after i did it, and logged back in (apart from the games i played today) all other games are now uninstalled, i check the common folder in my steam library folder and there are folders of all my games there, but when i check the file size of them, they are all 0 bytes apart from the ones that are still installed of course.

So has it for some reason just uninstalled all my games or is there something im missing?

Thank you

Did you have the games on USB?
Check USB is connected / restart Steam
Deleting Steam downloads cache will not remove your games.
Check for them in Steam>downloader manager >Steam top left >settings > downloads

You will never loose games from deleting downloaded Cache... You have other issues..

I did the same thing, and cleared the download cache which deleted all my installed games.
But I got them back when I went into steam settings> storage and added the driver back.

You sure its not home Filter thats enable with past info on recent activations and installed.

you just clear the cache, but most here will say should that info not be under web page userdata.
also why we ask you.

just like patato also mention with we have seen lost library or removed content and we all ask why it do this sometimes. ( check steam storage )

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
