Access code not found (AC Odyssey)

I recently bought AC Odyssey on Steam, downloaded it and when launching the game, UBISOFT CONNECT asks me to create an account and enter an activation key, where can I find it? (I can't right click on the game, it doesn't offer to display the key.)

Steam no longer provides CDkeys. You need to check the AC discussion section for a solution - there will most likely be a pinned thread about it. Certain Assassin’s Creed games seem to be anomalies.
The community will know the solution.

It's probably just an old prompt that can be ignored. As soon as you've linked the game between your Steam account and Ubisoft, there is no need for a key anymore.

You need to uninstall whatever version of Ubisoft Connect you have installed and go download the latest version from here https://ubisoftconnect.com/en-GB/

Create your account, login, then try the linking process again.
