HELP : How to Stop STEAM from minimizing to TRAY and make it minimize to TASKBAR ? [ SOLVED ]

STEAM started to minimize it self to Tray, instead of Taskbar.

How can I change that ?

It is very tedious to double click the STEAM icon in Tray every time I want to bring back the STEAM window again...

Drag the Steam icon out of the Tray onto your Taskbar.

Nope... that does nothing mate.

I did found a way to work around it though. I just pinned STEAM on Taskbar so it always stays there... even when its Closed or Minimized -_-

Oh, I thought you wanted the Steam icon to show up next to your Toolbar.

Well.... Pinning it to the taskbar is a temporary fix for now... But I don't know why it is being like this suddenly.... there is no option or setting on STEAM that I know of that changes this...

You press the minimise button to minimise it to the taskbar and the close button to minimise it to the tray. You have never been able to minimise any app to the taskbar using the close button.

The thing is...
When I minimize STEAM... it goes into the Tray instead of the Taskbar.....

And it closes just fine.... My issue is not with closing STEAM... but minimizing it... as it does not minimize to the Taskbar for some reason....

Fixed it....

Step 1 - Pin STEAM on TASKBAR

Step 2 - Minimize STEAM

Step 2 - Unpin it

And voila.... Now STEAM will minimize to Taskbar Normally.... instead of minimizing to Tray...

was hopeful, but didn't work for me. Still freaking going to tray. Friends stays up and is all that's there if I alt-tab. So stupid.

This just started for me today, out of the blue. I minimize steam and it goes to the system tray. I open it from the system tray and it doesn't even show on my taskbar. I can ALT-TAB in and out of it, but if I minimize it again it goes back to the system tray. What the?

1. goto steam menu, drop-down View, hit small mode.
2. go back to View, hit large mode.
3. It minimizes to taskbar normally again.

This is sort of close to my issue and also the only thing I could find while searching. When I start my computer, Steam launches but it starts minimized, so I have to either click my taskbar icon to "launch" it or open it from the hidden icons list. What I'd like is for Steam to simply open as normal on startup. Any ideas for that? xD
