Controller Manage Option gone?
In the steam library while playing a game, you could right click the name of the game, go to manage, controller.

But now that option is gone. I have my controller set up and everything, it works, but I wanted to change configuration. What the heck happened? Is there a new way to do it since an update?

Right click game > properties then controller

Is that what you are searching for?

It was broken but is now fixed in the current beta client.
To find it in current stable with Steam in desktop mode: on the game's library page, look on the row where it links to Store Page, Community Hub etc (may be behind ... depending on window size).

It isn't fixed for me. I opted into the beta client and Steam updated, but Manage > Configure Controller is missing (or whatever the option is called when right clicking a game in the Library).

OK, I'm gonna give it a shot (I hadn't tested it - just went with the patch notes:

One check though, config support for the connected controller is enabled?

I get the option back in the beta. Another check if one in previous post is met, see if option is blocked due to Steam Input set to disabled for the game (right-click game > Properties > Controller > override setting drop-down box).

I found a workaround, what I did was i go to View > Small Mode. It worked basically like the usual steam UI.
