I live in Tunisia (a country that's unsupported by Steam) so my account's currency is US dollars. Can a 50 Euro Steam card from Italy be activated on my account?
Title says it all.
I bought my friend a 20 Euro card from Italy in 2018 and it worked on his account, but I was told this no longer works.
Any help is appreciated.

Note: Steam Gift Cards and Wallet Codes will be converted to the currency of your Steam Wallet upon redemption, regardless of where they were purchased.

They did make changes to whether or not a Steam card's currency can be converted into a different currency upon redeeming it. The language says "you may encounter an error if you try to activate a Steam Wallet Code issued in a different currency than the one of your Steam User Account". The use of the word "may" is not a definite decision as to whether the currency will convert or not.

Some that have posted here asking the same question have still been successful, according to what they say, while others have not.

So it's a gamble? Guess I'll gamble with 10 Euros and see what happens
