DS5 battery indicator not appearing in BPM?
Ive read two guides that say once my DS5 controller is recognized I will see a little controller icon with battery life inside up top on the right by the download, gear, and power button icons in big picture mode. They even show a picture of it. .
My DS5 works fine in games, shows up in big pictures settings, I have PS5 controller box checked, can change the led colors, but nowhere is this battery icon...

But based on what i've read in various forums online, it appears Steam doesn't have the battery indicator feature at the moment, and that we may need to download a 3rd party app called DS4Windows to track the battery life.

Below is the article claiming that Steam has a battery indicator feature in BPM. The article was posted on Nov 3rd this year

Thats the same article I saw as well. I currently have a support ticket open and they did not refute the icons existence in their first reply but instead wanted a system log file so I am hoping to get it sorted.
I love the DS5 controller but good god what a pain just to check the battery life... I have heard of the DS4Windows program but apparently using that along with steam will put the two at odds and potentially cause some issues and latency since they are both trying to do the same task.

Hi. Any update on your support ticket? Thanks.

Yeah they told me they were able to replicate the issue after I sent them my system info and that my ticket would be forwarded to the dev team and that I should enable steam beta and watch for updates soon. Looks like those updates happen pretty often so I guess we just have to wait for now.
