Xbox Controller Right Stick Click-in R3 Not Functioning

Hello everyone,


I just got a new xbox controller that has functioned completely fine until I realized across all my games, the right click in (R3) does not work. Steam Controller settings calibration SHOWS that it is responding to my input of R3, but not a single game will recognize R3, only L3. I've tried googling for answers but not a single person is having this issue.

I will mention that I have used a DualSense controller before I got the xbox one, and my games recognized the dualsense and ds4 controllers R3 inputs! There's no reason why this brand new Xbox controller won't recognize this button when calibration does.

Were you looking at area in image below? If so, that screen doesn't reflect stick click input.

Test the controller at gamepad-tester.com. Look at buttons listed to left for R3 action since it's not reflected in the gamepad image (am using FF v. 78.0.2 so perhaps a different case in another browser/version). My controller in Xbox mode has R3 as B11.

This is crazy. My DualSense L3 and R3 show up as B10 and 11 on that website, respectively.

Plug in my Xbox controller, B11 just doesn't light up. It's probably screwed right out of manufacturing.

Did you ever find a solution to this? My fightpad doesn’t work on steam games anymore for l3 r3. They show up in the steam controller test, but in games r3 and l3 have no input. Other controllers work fine. I’ve restarted several times, reflashed the firmware on my fightpad, and no luck. It’s steam specific too because in non steam games I don’t have this issue and they register just fine. It’s very odd.
