Unable to reach a real human at STEAM. Did not receive Activation Code
Last night I bought the Mass Effect Legendary Edition and when I tried to play it today it said I needed to post the Activation Code I received in an email. I never received an email other than confirmation that I'd purchased the game. Yes, I checked the Spam folder and all the rest. No email.
When I tried to reach out to STEAM it was impossible to reach a human being in order to help. Just constant re-routing to set questions that didn't help with my issue.

Uninstall the outdated Origin client and install the latest one from the EA website.
There are no product codes for the game provided by EA.

Thank you for the information. I tried that. Totally uninstalled both Steam and Origin, reinstalled, uninstalled ME, reinstalled while Origin was running. Same issue.

And STILL can't reach anyone from Steam.

Your own topic seems to have the answer, did you try that.

I finally found the Refund page and have requested a refund with the explanation on what is going on. I'd rather play the game than get the money, so maybe an actual human will reach out to me.

Thank you all for your assistance.

If you requested a refund through the normal refund system then a human won't see it since it's all automated. You'll either get a refund if it's eligible or it'll be rejected.

If you go to purchases and find the game you have an issue with you can select "I have a question about this purchase" and talk to a support member through there.

I'd have recommended refund but you beat me to it. EA has reverse/negative acceleration in that version. Completely ruins the whole point of using a mouse when if you swipe quickly, as you do with a mouse when you want to move it quickly, it grinds to a bloody halt.

Go slow and you cover distance below in one swipe from left to right of my mouse mat

Go fast and you get

Not entirely accurate but you get the point. Crosshair would move 20-25% the distance if you go quickly. Spent 30 minutes looking for a solution....didn't look good and wasn't my time trying to fix something that never should have been in the first place.

TLDR: Refund was the better option
