There have been too many recent activation attempts from this account or Internet address. Please wait and try your product code again later.
Just got the humble bundle package of 123 games to support Ukraine and I'm not even half done redeeming them and steam already is blocking it.

How long do I have to wait until I can add the rest?

Got the same problem. Wish there was a one click solution so I could just activate them all at once.

Don't make an attempt to activate another key for 60 minutes. By then the cooldown will have expired and you can start activating keys again.

They don't even let us complain to support. It could be handled in a better way. I put off getting the bundle because it would take time to enter the codes. Now I must wait a secret amount of time to get what I own because of a secret limit to legal activity.

Support can't do anything about the cooldown. Valve made it like this to prevent people from using scripts to guess keys.
The cooldown is exactly 60 minutes. Any attempts within that time will reset the cooldown.

Support doesn't have the time to appease your feelings over something they can't remove.

There is a browser plugin called Augmented Steam that, among other things, adds automation to certain Steam functions. One of those is the entry of multiple product keys. Of course, this doesn't prevent the cooldown for activation attempts but it makes those big bundle purchases much easier to manage.

It's not so secret. Users like my new friend and myself have discussed the length of the cooldown countless times. A quick Google search would have provided the answer in less time than it took you to reply this post.

Now it's 60 minutes. In the past years it was 30 minutes for 30 keys but they changed it a while ago.

This just happened to me, and it's extremely annoying that 1) They don't clearly tell you the limit on the "Redeem" page 2) They don't tell you how many you're allowed to redeem 3) They don't tell you how long you have to wait to redeem more and 4) That the timer resets if you try again before the amount of time they don't tell you about is up. Those last two together are especially annoying.

It has been 1 hour for many years.

22 more keys to go, it could have been handled better for this bundle between Humble and Steam.

I had most of the content already but I bought it for the cause.
If I can put that amount of $$ on a bundle I mostly already have, I can wait a few hours to claim the rest. Beside, I have a few hours in front of me. Some folks over in Ukraine don't. It's raining hard here at the moment, but at least it's not bombs and missiles and bio-chemical weapons.

Aye, I can wait a few hours.

Can't you?

I wanted to redeem the bundle before sleeping this evening. Now it's less than half done and I'm already blocked. Valve should lift this restriction for valid keys and only restrict invalid key attempts, and also change the system for these particular keys since they should know these activations will be incoming from this particular bundle. It's not impossible to change server-side code.

Valve doesn't know because they weren't involved. And changing the code opens the exploits.

What exploits? It makes zero sense, if a key is legitimate there should be no limits.

If someone puts a wrong key they should get 3 attempts and be blocked 24h

Imagine if using a credit card was wasn't like that?

"buju" should read the previous posts of this thread before complaining about his problem first.

The cooldown is secret because Steam doesn't tell you. As a user, you won't know what to do until you start searching around the Internet.

They could just have added a line "Don't activate keys until ... 9:53am" or something like that.
