[SAM] Steam Achievements Unlocking Instantly

Hi, I've been playing Grand Theft Auto 5 recently. And I've been having a problem with the achievements.

I was using the Mod Trainer "Menyoo" and I accidentally clicked on 'Unlock All Achievements'
After that, I decided to use [SAM] Steam Achievement Manager to remove all the achievements that it unlocked. EXCLUDING the ones I've gotten before.

But after I launch the game. It gives me back those 20 achievements that I removed before. I tried deleting files, saves etc. But I still don’t know whats the cause of this problem. Do you guys know how fix though? (I'm assuming this has to do with something with Rockstar Games because I had the same exact problem with the game 'Max Payne 3')

Locking achievements isn't exactly a supported workflow on Steam. Unlocking? Yes. Locking? May or may not work depending on the game.

The cause is simple: the game maintains it's achievements itself and according to the game, those are unlocked. So if you lock those achievements on Steam and start the game, it tells Steam that it got all those achievements.

The fix would be to use your "mod trainer" to lock achievements from the game's perspective, use another "mod trainer" to achieve that result, or to suck it up as a mistake of yours.

SAM was used to fix a mistake he made with another program.

Achievements are tied to your Rockstar Social Club account irrespective of whether you play on Steam or not and why those 20 achievements re-appeared.

The achievements are linked to your Social Club account, this happened to me some time ago, I contacted Rockstar Support and they told me they couldn't do anything. So there is no fix for this.

Many thanks! I was suspecting that Social Club was the one causing it, ever since I looked at my achievements in my Social Club account and saw all them unlocked. Even if I remove any achievement on Steam. It won’t have any affect on Social Club.
