Adding Madden on Steam from Origin, but when I run it, it goes from green to blue
Hello guys, I've recently bought a new game Madden 22 on origin.

I've added it on steam and when I try to launch it, the status literally turns from green to blue as If I'm not even playing it. Is there any reason?

I also disabled origin in-game as I've read somewhere this would help it, but it didn't.

Any help? Thank you very much in advance.

This. You can't "add" games from other services - all you're doing is add a link to the executable.

I assume but cannot confirm because i launch all games from the original launcher that the status is linked to it been a non Steam game.

Then you clearly dont understand my question. I already did it, Im asking why my status of game turns from green to blue after running the game

i see no problem here
just play the game on origin where you bought it
steam has nothing to do at all with that

Make sure you log into Origin first before you launch it from Steam. Not all games work as non-Steam games and ones with 3rd party clients can be a bit iffy sometimes.

Why are you participating in a discussion without any contribution? Mr Sherlock

The game is working well, it seems noone here understand the problem. The game launches from steam without any problems. The problem is the status which is seen on friend lists, doesn't actually show Im in game

Ironically, i find it the other way around. I have to have Origin completely closed, trying to open it from Steam, then loads Origin and the game and it shows me in game.

However it then shows me in game until i close Origin itself and not the game, even though the exe chosen is the game... not Origin!

No my man, you have no idea what it is you're actually doing, which is why you're stumped by what you're seeing.

You can't "add" non-Steam games to Steam. All you're doing is adding a link to said game to the Steam interface. Games linked that way don't work or behave like actual Steam games as far as the client is concerned.

It can be iffy with some games. Do you still have access to the overlay or does the Steam integration unhook completely?
