Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Keeps Restarting Download From Scratch

So with most "bigger" games I buy I tend to usually download them over the course of a few days whilst being able to close Steam / shut down PC in between download sessions and safely resume the download from where it was last paused. I've had no problem doing this up until now with Vermintide 2 specifically.

Is this a known thing for Vermintide 2?

PS: before someone tells me to just download it in one sitting (which I would've obviously done if I could) , it's worth mentioning that with my current living circumstances and shared, slow network setup, this is simply not possible.

Known for Vermintide 2? No.

If you know someone who has V2, copy, paste the game to an external hdd then copy, paste it to the install location on your PC otherwise you will have to download it in one session.

2023 year, i got same issue as u i guess. I had 100+ free space, download process was about 15-20h. Before went sleep i saw i need 3-4 gb more (about 1h for my speed). It was 4 am so i paused download n pc off. Next morning i started steam n got msg i need more space. I got +95 gb, steam still asked more, so i got it up to 100 and steam started new download. My E drive is 232 gb. Before 1st download it haf 100-105 free space. Before 2nd download i had 97+ gb busy in steam download folder n + 110 gb free (i deleted almost everything on drive). Actually i gave up.
