General gift purchase restriction
Basically title, so, i have been using this account for the last 3 years, ive only bought one game in this account, and used the money from the wallet to buy games to ONLY one another account, the account is obviously mine. I had this ban 3 times before this, and all the time was lifted because a quick look into my gift log shows me gifting the same account, and even explained to me that it was automatic when someone gifts more than he purchases, its usually for accounts who sell games to others, as a way of profiting the wallet, as i was obviously giving myself games I wasnt making money.
I now tried to buy hades which was on sale, and for my surprise i was once again banned, i talked to support as i did last time explaining that i know why the ban and that what i do isnt shady at all, they just used a copypaste to tell me that i have indeed a ban, and that support cant remove it (which is a lie, since they have removed it from me previously), so i tried talking to the support again, to see is this time i can talk to a human, and not a robotlike-worker, and had my ticket closed and im now banned from using support.
So, how can i remove this undeserved ban from support and from gifting?

If support told you they will not or can not lift the gift restriction, that is your answer.
Use an external payment method to gift games from now on.

I really dont think you read my post, the ban was lifted 3 times before this one, the TOS didnt change in the last 3 months for gifts, the ban for gifting is to prevent people from profiting by selling games to others account and getting paid in cash in real life, the ban was lifted the others times because me giving myself games isnt gonna make me profit, support knows that so they just unbanned the others times, whats the difference now?

I read everything. Only support can even look into or remove it. If they told you no, that is their answer.

and as i said they banned my account from using support, the thing is, a quick google search will show you more people with this problem, where the first time they get the same answer as i did, and the second time they will get a human to actually fix the problem, in my case they just banned me, do you really think a worker from SUPPORT will not do anything wrong? this ban when doing things as i do is lifted, because i can still use wallet in this account, so steam understands that and just lets me buy instead to my main, if you are just gonna repeat what the copypaste from a support said you aren being usefull at all

If they already restricted you from creating tickets, you must have asked them multiple times recently about the most recent restriction. Each was reviewed by an actual human and each time you were told they will not or can not lift it. That is their final answer.

Because no one but support can do anything about it.

i asked them 3 times, the first time had the copypaste response, the other 2 times the ticket was closed without even responding to the ticket, not even trying to read what i said, as long as i know the same guy from support saw it the 3 times and decided it was easier to ban me than to do its job
i dont care if this account can or cannot give my main games, i can use my cc in my main, I really just want to use the wallet funds, its my only way to buy games, and in the majority of times im using my cc to pay for what i cant afford with the wallet, i dont think youll ever understand whats working 4 hours per day for 2-3 dollars, and having to buy games with leftovers of steam market transactions

You're not accepting their answer which won't change no matter how many times you ask it.

Yes, they've removed the restriction in the past. But the past is the past. Now they cannot remove the restriction. You will have to accept it because their ability to remove the restriction is gone.

This is an argument you should have to those who took advantage of the gifting with wallet funds that caused the restriction to be set in stone, now.

Easy solution is to just trade your items to the account that you are intending to gift games to and sell them on the market from that account. Then you'll have the funds appropriated to the correct account. Or, why do you have to gift games to your other account at all? Just use the one single account and you don't have to juggle around your funds for the gifting.

Thats whats upsets me, tos didnt change in the last months, the ban still is only for those who profit from selling to others, my case is legal and dont do anything to steam economy, thats why it was lifted, they were always nice and explained this was a measure to stop people from profiting. But this time i got this awesome and well thought response:
"Thanks for getting in touch. I looked at your account, and I do see that you have a general gift purchasing restriction."

Thats the response i got from support the first time, the other 2 times the tickets were just closed without explanation

the restriction has been around since 2015, and didnt change at all since then, i said that to him because im obviously posting this on the forum because i want a solution, not a guy saying "support said it, dont whine" which isnt helpful in any way, and literally responded to me like support did, not reading anything and just wanted to get over with work

Yeah i was thinking on giving things to the other account, but im afraid that would be against tos or some ♥♥♥♥, if im unable to just buy games to that account, why would i be able to gift items? thats the irony of banning me from gifting myself games, if im allowed to use cc or gift items.

I rarely use this account, as you could see, I only use my main account with nearly 200 games, I dont want to have games in both accounts, thats why im gifting games to my main, yeah i could just buy games here, but i really really dont want to be changing accounts, my main problem here was that this ban is from fraudelent use of steam wallet to make profit, which i clearly dont do, i wouldnt be posting here if they didnt ban me from submiting tickets, which for me is excesive, given they only answered 1 time of the 3, so i wanted a solution like youve given, and to know if someday i could submit a ticket again, because revoking use of support to a user is a way of censoring

But well, i guess im just gonna have to go with it, thanks for the answer, I really needed someone to respond me in a good way to calm me down, and i learned how to use /quote, so i guess i won something off this ban

I don’t understand why you don’t just buy games on the other account? Why go through this whole process. Both are your accounts - just buy the games on the other.

Is there a reason you’re doing all this extra work?

But that's what I don't understand. If it's your main, why are you not just using your main? What purpose is your second account accomplishing that you couldn't just do with your main? From what you explained, you are only using a second account to make purchases for your first account? Just stick with the main.

The main problem is that Steam can only see what happens on their site. They cannot see you either making a profit or not making a profit in your real life. They can only err on the side of caution and just remove the ability to gift with wallet funds for everyone which is pretty much what they've done.

Well, Support isn't going to advise you with solutions to work around the restriction. They gave you the only answer they could. As far as those of us in the forum, you're not the first to ask about this so we're already pretty clear about what the final answer is, which is that Support told you 'no' and that's that. You weren't really asking for anything else other than to have the restriction removed.

If I'm not mistaken, it's most likely a temporary restriction. It can be permanent but I've only really seen that in the most extreme circumstances. But it was placed because you kept asking them to remove something that they already told you they couldn't remove. Just stop trying to make tickets for a while.

Same thing here. Its ridiculous...

Steam isn't doing any good with all those restrictions. I have also lost the ability to gift games on the main account. They also lost me as a client, as I won't be giving them again a single euro, only free usage of the games I already have, and the free games I will get in the future.

those restrictions you are complaining about are caused by the people that abuse the system. if you can come up with a way to curb the abuse, post it in the suggestion forum and let the other users beat it up for a while to find weak points in the idea.

if you want to gift games, buy keys for them or gift them digital funds.

I assume you mean you lost the ability to gift games with wallet funds. You can still gift games with non Steam wallet funds.
