G2A.com purchase won't activate

I just purchased a game on G2A and now it says the key is already in use, I've contacted the seller, which tells me to give them the usage time of the key, where can I get it? Does anyone know? They don't believe me for not being able to activate the key

You can't get it, the site sold you a bad key and they know you can't get that info. Demand your money back from them and if they refuse contact the payment method you used to reverse the charge.

They are trying to delay you until your refund window expires. In the future use reputable sites, there is a reason the name is filtered, they deal in shady and stolen keys

I agree with brian and ReBoot. Not to mention this scenario can be found numerous times in previous topics going back for years. You're hardly the first person a shady grey market site is giving the run around, being deliberately sent on a wild goose chase to frustrate you, waste your time, and dilute or misdirect your anger towards parties that have nothing to do with the issue.

People should really stop spreading misinformation. I don't use that site anymore and use humble instead or buy games on sale but Steam support does give out the key's activation date if you ask. The site name is censored for a reason OP. Avoid using it next time.

Well, I do in fact remember people claiming Steam support giving this info, but that's still hoops the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from G2A expect paying customers to hoop through.

I don't think most of us have dealt with it directly. But I could have swore I've seen multiple topics where people had requested that sort of information from Steam and Steam wasn't inclined to cooperate. Sure, it's possible users made mistakes in their inquiry.

Or maybe previously the grey market site asked for the date and the account who activated it, which I definitely don't think Steam will provide account info to a random users request. If grey market sites have changed their script to only be the activation date then maybe... that could be innocuous enough.
