As stated, I do check the stay logged in box. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I have not changed my usage patterns at all. I simply shut down my computer. Previously this has not logged me out. Now I get booted out, though not every time.
I'm in SE Asia, and this new pattern began well before the current crisis did.
i have even setup my laptop as public and you know what steam just login. so option and functions is not logical. ( how can you be on public network and not be punk every time with who you are then you login at steam. ) as i said function dont follow logic here.
How would I check that?
Safe boot mode. dont have other apps running that optimize sytem and clear browser cache on exit or something like that.
iobit to ccleaner, but i have never seen them do it then i use them in the past.
ps.
also try SFC/scannow ( google it ) system issue maybe ?
I've been running the same VPN for almost a year. This problem has only cropped up in the past 6-8 weeks, though I guess there might have been changes that are causing thiis.
Thanks. I'll give it a try. Nothing else that uses cookies seems to be affected, though.
instead of just shutting down your computer and letting your computer close steam. try properly exiting Steam before you shut down your computer.
Then goto download section, and do clear download cache, this will reset client with popup in login window and option to tick that options again. ( maybe you already did this and this is a VPN issue only. ) that can be seen as issue with security today, all depend who and where you go though. and why steam punk you for confimations.
