Steam and Voicemeeter

Hi, I'm trying to use Voicemeeter to display sounds in game and keep ability to use my microphone. It works just fine with teamspeak discord and so on but not with steam !
I set voicemeeter output as default recording device and I display my microphone output+sounds through voicemeeter. Steam recognize voicemeeter as default device, however when I test, only my voice is displayed. The most strange thing is when I remove all input devices in voicemeeter (so nothing is emitted from voicemeeter output), steam keep recording my voice though nothing is coming from default device (voicemeeter output).

Is it a problem related to steam/voicemeeter or am I doing something wrong ?

Voicemeeter should work as well with Steam. Keep default settings and connect it like you did with Skype... if the problem remains send a screenshot of Voicemeeter and steam audio config to let me check...

Options are a bit different from what I described earlier but it should work the same way, though I have still the same problem with steam (nothing changed for other apps)
edit: I use exp soundboard to display my sounds, it's correctly displayed in Voicemeeter and it is redirected to Voicemeeter output as my microphone. But steam is like "I don't care"
