New "scam" method
i received a random add(and as always I accepted)probaly a bot
He sent me a message:
csgo-skin: Hi. Do you want to trade with me?
Can you exchange this items? check my inventory screen (link removed for obvious reasons )

this link would lead to a site that automatically downloads malware,it was a link from a "print"of the lightshot site,but the link is wrong the link would be prnt.sc,but it was {LINK REMOVED}

its a phishing link. ( it installs virus or it steals all your items when you login via steam when clicking on that link. )
just report the player via his steam profile.
or go to steam support and ask what you can do when someone does it when my tip isn't helpfull

This method is hardly new. And it's the main reason for limited accounts.

the new thing that i know is that the sites mostly change names.
there are 2 sites.
rltracker.pro
rl-tracker.pro

1 is a rocketleague tracker site that tracks scammers and value
another 1 is a ''gamble'' site that you gotta be 14 to login to BUT IF U READ THE TOS IT SAYS YOU HAVE TO BE 18....
they mostly try to use famous sites as bait and other people's sins ( greed ) to take advantage on.
i got that as well.
he asked me for some things.
he wanted to know my key value on rocketleauge.
i said .... idk about 2 keys.
( i got 100+ keys inventory value on rocketleague )
then he left.

The important part, the one about not getting scammed (or rather hijacked in this case) doesn't depends on the details, it depends on the grand scheme of things.

its about 2 things.
being naive
being greedy.

greed is a sin that causes great danger.

i swear.
why aren't people clicking on those ads about free iphones but are clicking on links when they see something about a free 40 dollar csgo knife...
stupid is as stupid does

People are clicking on those as well. It's just that you don't see much of it as they usually don't post in forums, especially this one.

You can stop even before. As soon as there's anything substantial, or well, anything for free, it's dodgy by default. If it isn't a downright scam, it's some crap where you have to do thousands of surveys or to click stuff forever. Still dodgy enough.
