Every Unity game = low fps but also low cpu/gpu usage
Not sure what happened (only thing I can think of is a recent Windows update, still on Windows 10), but every time I play a game that uses Unity now I get super low fps but my cpu and gpu usage are also really low, and my memory is maybe at 40% max in task manager.

These are all games I never had any trouble with before at all and would get locked solid framerates. Now they chug in the 20s and 30fps. However, graphic heavy games that don't use Unity still run at their locked framerate and run just fine. So, I'm not understanding why Unity-specific games are suddenly running at super low framerates and something is causing my cpu/gpu to barely be used?

Make sure you have updated drivers (Device manager :plane: display adapters :plane: update driver)

Change nvidia drivers performance from balanced to maximum performance

Nvidia control panel :plane: manage 3d settings :plane: program settings :plane: specify the settings of that game you are talking about (Not sure it will fix that problem)

Also set priority high at game while you run it (Task manager :plane: details :plane: set priority high at game launcher)

I should mention that I'm using AMD products (RX 580 and Ryzen 7 2700). All my drivers are updated, I have Adrenaline Gaming set for Gaming (also tried ESports, that didn't help).

Changed priority for both Steam and specific games to High, that didn't help.

This seems to be a Unity specific problem, but i don't know why and what's changed in the past week regarding my computer/setttings/Steam. Every other game that's not built on Unity runs fine, it's only Unity games that now for some reason run with really bad framerates.

Try to contact unity support

Well it took me nearly 2 months but i finally fixed the problem. I had AMD Adrenaline perform a factory reset for my Ryzen stuff, then re-downloaded AMD Adrenaline off of the AMD website specifically for my RX 580 and even though i can't get Adrenaline to open rofl, my framerates are now working properly again.

What a freakin' mess that was, and the most frustrating part is I don't know why things became a problem in the first place.
