Steam Cloud Saves Gone
Last night I had made a bunch of progress in a game (idk if it matters but it was Project Hospital, which uses steam cloud saves), to find that all of my progress since the beginning of last night was gone. I check everything online about steam cloud saves not working, and found nothing helpful. Any ideas?

You have posted in the right place wait for response

your saves here
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Oxymoron Games\Project Hospital\maps

This is a new feature with Steam when you click on any game in your library the Steam cloud content checks game for a sec.
Sometimes there maybe a mismatch.
Did you select your local saves or the online?

Rightclick the game properties>enable cloud then look under artwork next to play> click that link and update it.
Fom now on if you click on game in the library a short flash of a cloud will appear and check if our Steam Cloud is up to date.

Hi all, I have a fix for my case.
I use only 1 PC, so today I resynced my game badly. Steam cloud seemed to be full, and for a long period of time I had only local saves as I understand (I think it is what happened) so them. So durring problems with sync, steam cloud refreshed my local folder with data it held. (It means my local files was removed totally and silent, so i lost my saves i made for 2 months)

In my case it was game Witcher 3.
How did i fix it? -
1. I recommend you to go to the steam library folder as steam can duplicate your saves (idk what is the reason and if it happens for all games but for Witcher 3 it was a case)
Path was something like:
D:\Steam\userdata\*123319589*\*292030*\ac\WinMyDocuments\The Witcher 3\gamesaves
Find there a save files and move to your folder when the game took it (For me was C:\Users\*username*\OneDrive\Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves
as by default.

2. If it didn't help you, try immediately to use some disk recovery software, such as Recuva i used. by this soft you will be able to restore your deleted files. (Try not to turn off your computer as it can decreese your chances to restore your save files successfuly).

This is basically it. I hope I help you :steamthis:

I've just installed "Hollow Knight" on another computer and I have no save game anymore.
I expected some cloud saves.

Bit late but i had the exact same problem with The Witcher 3, I'm sure the save data is gone for good but what did you do when you found the save files? My game is installed on my D: drive but my gamesaves file is on C: which i assume is correct but the only save files there are old.

I played Remember Me a long time ago, about 8 years ago, "played" in the game said 23 hours, so I played on Steam. Today I decided to finish the game, I downloaded it again and logged in, but there were no saves. In the cloud, the game info shows that it is 15kb. How to get them from there? Cloud status said "Is up to date". But nothing happened.
