Steam Client Menu Not Showing/Flickering/Z-fighting

This issue has been present for me for around two months. Menu dropdowns are either not shown at all or appear for a moment before disappearing.

As far as I can tell, dropdowns are actually drawn, but main client window immediately puts itself on top, covering them entirely. So it's sort of z-fighting. Also there is another similar issue where main client window is covering child windows (like client update) and causes them to flicker.

One way to fix it is to click on smaller menus in the top left (Steam, View, Friends) until they display properly and then hover the needed menu, but that is only a one-time fix. Also this problem seems to appear and disappear randomly, sometimes after client window gets minimized.

This problem is present on both the stable and beta client versions on Windows.

I contacted Steam support, had some back-and-forth with them, went through Steam Client Troubleshooting (yes, I did restart my computer!) and finally was told to go look for more people with this problem. So here I am.

Thread on the Steam subreddit regarding this issue. May get deleted anytime because of the wonderful moderation there.

Same for me for about 6 months and still no solution

Happens from time to time for quite some time, but happens not too often, pretty annoying.though. Fixing by restarting Steam each time.

Turns out that switching input language to English prevents this.
