Why does Steam keep asking me to sign in every time I start my computer

I have Remember Password checked yet it still does this every time. Every time I see it it makes a bit nervous that my account was hacked for a moment. Its very irritating. Why have a remember password feature if it doesn't work?

1. Check the "remember my password" in the login screen.
2. Important step... Also uncheck "don't save account credentials..." in your settings under Steam > Settings > Account after you do login.
3. Log out.
4. Log back in entering all the info minus the account name again.
5. Log out.
6. Check... Log back in to see if it was done correctly.

I have the same problem.... it never remembers me
