My steam account is over 4 years old as of posting this and I have purchased many games before, so what could be the cause of this? I tried liking a review for the game "HROT" as I plan on getting it soon-ish.

i had that issue back when i joined steam and i just simply activated 2FA and i was able to like and post stuff on dicussions afterwards

Are you banned in the game hub for that game?
Did you upvote a review that recently got banned?
Both will prevent you from interacting with reviews in any way.

That is not proof of anything. I have friends that never post anything on the forums and they've had their accounts since the first month Steam went live. Just because they don't use any community features, that doesn't automatically mean the account isn't theirs.
Please do not assume something where you don't have sufficient proof to back your claim with.

I bought Orange Box all those years ago in a Walmart, and was excited to play it. So, I set up my Steam account in like 2007.

Not everyone knows about these forums and not everyone needs to use them. Just because it's their first post doesn't mean they are using a bought account. Accusing them of such things when they are seeking help is pretty tasteless and will just confuse them. It also doesn't give a good impression of the Steam community either.

This is my only post so far because I've been able to just google any issue I've had, and so far this is the only issue I've had where I couldn't find a reason or a way to fix it
