Get a much larger drive. You do need all the space required, the game will have to not only download the *compressed* files, but then uncompress them - that takes up to twice the amount of "listed" space anyway while it's working. If you don't have enough space, not gonna happen at all.
Your still missing the point Zekiran made above. If you are so low on space you should NOT be filling it. Both HDD and SDD need some space to perform well. Using up all available space reduces performance of a drive. Unless your drive already has a type of provisioning set for the drive so a portion is not available to use you really should not use it all.
At a minimum keep 10% of the total capacity free. So if you have a 500gb drive keep 50gb free, if you have 1 TB drive keep 100GB free and so on.
sorry for the late response and i freed up some space (64 gbs) and 10% of 465 is 46.5 so ill have mroe than 10% of my my storage but my problem is that the game itself isnt 85 gbs but 14 gbs so how can i get steam to realize that its actually 14 gbs?
