Games dev revoked my copy of the game
Its been almost a year since I bought bannerlord and I'm still getting the same error dispite buying a new pc as I was sojestied to. the game says my key has been revoked and steam support says to contact the games support team. can any one offer any help ?

and the support teams reply from last year. after that they went dark and never got back with me.

I ask steam for a refund like they said and steam will not do anyhting about the problem.

If it's in his library, and Steam allows him to launch the game, then as far as Steam is concerned the key/license is still valid.

This feels like a server side ban, something on the developer's side. I'm not familiar with the game so I can only presume what would cause something like this, if it is this at all. I'm assuming Steam is simply launching a launcher, so perhaps it's making a key/license check on start with the developer's servers. This person's key/license has been flagged as revoked on their servers. The launcher fails to start the game.

It looks like you're posting on the TaleWorlds forums and treating that as support. Most likely those are other users just like we are here. Why aren't you contacting Taleworlds directly?

If the key was actually revoked on Steam, the game wouldn't be in your library and you'd have had a large alert on Steam itself. So it's not an actual Steam key revoke.

This seems to be on the developers side. I think rawWwRrr might be thinking in the right direction.

The guy has been lying about this for years in the banner lord forums to the point now he’s banned there too

Yes I did, many times, many mandy many times since last year. They just banned me from the steam community page again for bringing up the problem.

I been trying that too. But they keep tossing off the problem to the games support team. the games suoport team is not willing to email me back me anymore. I sent steam copiys of the error showing my copy was revoked and what emails I did get stating to ask steam for a refund and that there was nothing the games support team could do to fix it.

Well, didn't read those, but ... apparently they already state clearly that the game was revoked. They have the final say.

I mean, we can't know what is going on, but perhaps they should try again.

Was their credit card fraudulent? I mean, we do not know. It could be literally any reason - at all - and if they've already contacted both steam and the devs? that's final isn't it.
The credit cars is not fraudulent. I still use it to this day its my own card in my own name.

that is my understanding of what is going on. I was able to play the game on a older PC with the PC offline for a wile, but after I had to plug it into the internet for a wile and login into steam it stopped working.

He doesn't have a public email. This isn't a steam issue. As its been said if the game key was revoked on Steam's end you wouldn't be able to launch it from Steam at all.

You got a game ban and they just used poor wording. There is nothing Steam can do as game developers have total control over banning people from their games. Steam can't over-ride that.

I have emailed them 100's of times. I am also posting forums too since their support stopped emailing me after they told me to get with steam for a refund last year.

Posting on Steam forums are useless, no one but the dev's can remove a server side ban. There is no other way then to contact the developers. Steam cannot do anything to remove bans that the developers do on their end
