CD key won't work
I own Need for Speed hot pusuit. I bought it through steam evrytime I go to play it wants me to enter the cd key, now its telling me my key has been used to many times? WTF steam Ive been a member on this account for 12+years and almost 16 years on my other account. I bought the game through you so please help with this issue.

Steam can’t help you it’s nothing to do with them. Older EA games use a modified version. Of SecuROM as DRM, with this particular DRM you get a limited number of activations.

You can deauthorise machines before uninstalling so this doesn’t happen, but it’s obviously too late for that now.

Still an EA game so you have to take it up with them.
I had the same problem and couldn't get ahold of them for nothing. I ended up having to buy a another copy. EA support sucks.

Update EA basically told me i'm SOL. So I guess I'll delete it from my library it's just wasting space at this point.

As you see I don't log in very often, I read about the limits on activation but I have only changed computers 3 times in the last 10+ years, as when I build a gaming rig I use the best hardware available so that I'm covered for 4-5 years. I've never had to use the serial for that game since I bought it, that was the only time it was used. Doesn't matter it is what is, especially with them now having their own delivery platform.
I'm just going to stay with Steam like have for the past 12+ years.
Try inserting the code in origin client. Or contact their support
