Hi,

you can change your download region when you go to the "steam settings" and click on "Downloads". This could eventually help, if not update your drivers etc.... if nothing helps contact your internet provider.

ummmm.... which is it??????

"My download speed caps at 1.7mbps"
"Speed test is 95 mbps" "which is" "11mbps"

Please make sense of what you typed.

There's nothing you can do if your connection is that bad that it's only 1.7mbps. The only thing you can do about that is switch companies to a better ISP.

Your ISP can't control what you get from the steam servers, nor can steam control what speed you get from your ISP.

It is peak time right now. And it's Sunday. A lot of people are online.
Nothing anyone can do about that.

Those facts are what your ISP is going to end up telling you, probably after wasting half your day.

Mbps and MB/s are two totally different things.

8 Mbps = 1 MB/s

You incorrectly read his post.

Can't be sure everyone knows and understands the difference. Lots of lazy typers and ignorance out there.
