Steam changed my store location and currency
I am new to buying games through steam (have account since quite long time tho). Just moved to Japan and bought prepaid card. Everything in store was in Yen and so I add my wallet through webmoney. But, after I completed the process and have my wallet filled, the store suddenly in India and the prices are in Rupee.

The question is, if I buy games (MH World) now, is it going to be okay? or I have to change my store location to Japan first (on 13th October steam said)?

If you are from India and your original store was set to that country its normal.
The Steam Store country will not change on its own, you have to do it manually.
So you can either continue using the India Steam Store which was your original store or switch your Steam country store to Japan in the account settings.
Of course the Japanese store is pretty much the most expensive Steam store there is, so maybe stay on the one from your homeland. India prices are a lot better.

As long as you have a payment method registered to that country its completely legal to keep your store country set to India.

Thanks a lot!
Actually I am from Indonesia, which left me baffled why it is India now. Or maybe it was my mistake when I created my account long ago.

Well, the prepaid card I bought which was converted to Rupee and I can still buy the MH World without worrying I can't play it right?

Yes it will work. But if you stay in Japan permanently or for for a long time i recommend switching the store to that region just to be safe.

Steam has a useful information page about this:
