Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard

I just bought this Vanilla prepaid Mastercard and It will not let me buy anything on steam at all? I tried using a Vanilla prepaids VISA just to see if it would work and it did. Is there something wrong with my card or does mastercard not work?

When you buy a pre-paid credit card, ensure that it is activated, and that you have activated for online use, there info on the card telling you where to go to activate it for online use.

If it doesn't work you could try linking it to a bank transfer that supported on Steam, if paypal is an option at checkout on Steam, link your Vanilla prepaid master card to paypal, then use paypal on Steam. Otherwise do what 8bitbread said above, buy a physical steam gift card. You could call the vanilla prepaid mastercard company, and ask if they were blocking Steam, if they are tell them to unblock Steam.

Okay, thank you guys. I tried the paypal method and it didn't work. I am going to buy a actual steam card today with the prepaid one.
