STUPID F'n Xbox Elite Issue

I'm using the newest Xbox Elite controller to run Mad Max Game. Every time i press the A button, a stupid Steam Hud pops up with a drop down menu.

RETURN TO GAME
CONTROLLER CONFIGURATION
CONTROLLER OPTIONS
OPEN KEYBOARD
TOGGLE CONTROLLER HUD
EXIT GAME

I'm really getting pissed off and could use some help turning this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off so I can play some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games in peace for Christ Sake.

Try steam, settings, controllers.
Likely disable things there

You never need to touch the controller layout ever, Steam has a complex controller layouts, as there two controller layouts that can conflict, one is for actual controller settings layout, the other layout is control to hot key to do things with the client, and overlay.

Xbox is setup by default, and never had to be touch ever for it layout, the problems is if you mess with the 2nd layout that hotkey things that be your problem, simply clear those out and your all good to go. If you want I give screenshot of my layout.

I also want to say you can also setup controller layouts per game as well, so there a overall general, and a per game layout so you need to know which one did you do. Last thing if you added LAYERS as you can add overlap controller settings via controller settings on Steam this was meant to giving users more customize control to do with controller, basically giving them a whole lot of tools, and hot keys to do, so if you made layers, delete them if you do not plan to be doing hot keys, or such on top of your current controls.
