Are we allowed to put another users steam account into our profile.
If so, and if not could i be given a quick reference of the rules or guidelines stateing it? Steam has its conduct/rules in five different places, I normaly would have ctrlFd a document. Figured the safest route was to ask. maybe see if you folks could find a reason to be UNhelpful.

Any alternative route to take within the vast margin of guidelines and rules spread about the internet that protects steam?

Is the name shared itself rule breaking or the shameing aspect alone that makes it a no no?

Unfortunetly that is not enough when there actions have been harassfull toward and steam support requests are insuffcient and reporting them is not enough. Even with a picture showing them in the wrong, even with link to there post history and mdoerations able to verfy what I say, thats not enough. Thats to much to ask of a single one. Steams moderation is mostly made up o folks who keep the peace and sweep the issues under rugs. You can report someone one time. Then never again.
blocking and reporting is typicaly enough most the time. Not enough for a casul like myself.

These questions are inquireing becuase there are no current options or paths that will be sufficient that steam has in place.
Thats all off topic so who gives.

The issue with no naming and shaming is that it could very easily be abused and the innocent could be unfairly attacked.

I do not want to further a topic a moderator may have deemed not to.
Not being an ass, I am trying to understand aspects of Steams rules, guidlines etc etc etc, you guys got that posted in five different locations with five different versions of the rules, that in conjuction with what people bother reporting for, what is wrong or not, and what mdoerators autoban for is alittle above my understanding at times. Even staying within guidelines 100% of the time people still catch bans for.
So yes I would like to continue this topic if I may.

its not that hard to understand why name and shame threads are not allowed.

1. they do nothing productive.
2. anyone can make a post claiming anything they want regardless of it being true or not
3. profile names are not unique and they will get names mixed up
4. the only people that can report someone are the ones that have had some interaction with them.

what ever the issue is, there are 2 ways to deal with it. the correct way and the wrong way. the wrong way gets your account into trouble

I wholly agree, however I am simply trying to udnerstand the rules my man. I have no reservations regarding the shameing part. however the rules stipulate.

No: Flame or insult other members

Post personally identifiable information

Does the above one pertain to there steam account or actual "personal" information. If not located on a thread, and no insulting, sheameing, or flameing is happening. Does that then still qualify?
I understand this is simple for some, however for I would appreicate not being shamed for haveing a lack of understanding for something.
