Problem with game key activated as basic instead of ultimate edition
I don't see any option to create a ticket about keys activation. So my problem is that I've bought yesterday a Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition key from GamersGate (internet says it's official seller so I think I can write here about it if not then pardon me). But game activated just as Borderlands 3 (Europe). Wrote to the GamersGate but they told me that this is Ultimate Edition for sure and I should contact steam about it. I suppose there can be the problem with that I had before "bought" Borderlands 3 when used free weekend? or free week 1 year ago. My steam account details say that game was "bought" back then and activated yesterday. I don't have any idea what to do cause GamersGate won't help me for sure. And I don't have any DLC from this edition (checked in game in few places + don't have any in my steam library). Just basic game.

If they were an authorized reseller, they'd be able to check that for themselves through the publisher.
Sounds more and more like a scam.

Yeah looks like they are sure I can't contact Steam Support about it, so don't have "solid" proof. Funny.

Tell them you thought they were an authorized seller.
That means they can handle wrong key activations.

So wrong keys can be revoked, and new keys been given.

Yeah Muppet’s right, Gamersgate is a proper reseller - I’ve bought games from there - they should not be pulling this. They can easily revoke a key.

1) Profile Name > Account Details > View Licences and Product key Activations

If you own Borderlands 3 Ultimate it would be listed there.

If it only shows Borderlands 3, take a screenshot, edited out your account name, and send them the screenshot.

2) Click on the game in your library and in the main window scroll down to dlc. If you own the dlc it will be listed there. If there is no dlc showing take a screenshot and send them that screenshot also.

3) And finally if you owned the dlc it would also be listed here.

I've sent them screenshots like this from a friend who showed me his Borderlands 3 everything (cause he has Super Deluxe Edition) and sent them this, but this guy from support still asks about proof from Steam Support team. I told them what Muppet among Puppets said. Waiting for the answer now.

I wonder how that can count as evidence, as it is rather easy to just create an account with the same name and avatar to fake that you don't have a specific game or DLC.

No reputable seller would request such information.

If you have not, send them the key and ask them to verify it as been the Ultimate edition.

If they refuse do a chargeback as that is the only option left.

Support will answer the ticket - they answer all tickets no matter which option is picked.

It’ll be interesting to know what Steam Support says about Gamersgate’s support’s question. Please let us know because their attitude is all kinds of weird. Also, their fighting this in an odd way because we usually associate the “talk to Steam Support about your key” thing as a scam tactic.

Let us know what steam support said...... generalized, not the real reply.
And what the gamersgate support concludes afterwards.

If it comes out to a "we cant do anything for you",
before you issue a chargeback,
ask them, if doing a chargeback is the only option they leave you just as an unauthorized seller would also cause.

Steam support confirmed what I'm saying and that my key was only for the basic edition. I've sent information about it to GamersGate and now waiting for the response.

They can't give me another key but I've got refund request already + coupon 20% for anything in their shop. I'm not sure if they gonna remove basic version of the game from my account. Glad you got it sorted. Sorry you couldn’t get the correct version of Borderlands 3 in the end. At least they refunded you.

You can always hold out until the Fall/Autumn sale here on Steam. Or pick up all the DLC if they don’t revoke the key.
