Can you family share the same game but with DLCs?

My brother and I have the same game, but he’s too broke to afford the season pass.
Is it possible to share the DLCs using family share?

im sorry if i start an arguement but dont call part of your family broke thats basically calling them bad at getting money (yes i know i cant think properly and find the right words) but atleast say he just cant afford it or something not involving "broke" in it also im not a mod so you can keep it if you want but it your brother sees this i dont know whats gonna happen

If you're family, can't you just gift him the DLC? If it's too expensive regularly, the next sale is right around the corner (which is always the case on Steam).

Yup, but it’s always good to save some money for more games rather than spending on something you already own.

Depending on how much you're going to trix around, he can "permanently" remove the game from his account (so he won't "own" it anymore, but there's always the option to recover) and then play your shared game with all the DLC.

Does this still apply if the base game is free?

I chose the permanently remove button but it's not gone out of my library and I can still play it.

I chose the permanently remove button but it's not gone out of my library and I can still play it.

Free games can't be shared thus, their DLC can not be shared.
