Dualshock 4 suddenly stopped working, could anyone help me out?
For the longest time I used DS4 windows to play games on Steam with a gamepad. Everything was fine until about a month ago where I think an update caused Steam to interfere with DS4 windows. The controller would input conflicting actions and I ended up having to configure the controller on Steam and disable DS4 windows. This worked fine for about 2 weeks then it suddenly stopped working, so I booted up DS4 windows and that worked for a couple weeks and now, funnily enough, it's conflicting again.

This time I can't get any one program to register in game. I can get Steam to recognize my Dualshock 4 on startup and in Big Picture mode but when I boot into a game, no input is recognized. My idea was just to boot up DS4 windows but no matter what, Steam recognizes the controller and conflicts with it. I tried going into the controller configuration and disabling every Steam input, but it seems some inputs are hardwired, and even when disable still register on Steam's part. I'm not exactly sure on what to do here, no Google searches help me with this issue and before the issue seemed to resolve itself.

I suppose my questions are:
-Can I completely disable Steam Controller support so it doesn't conflict with DS4 windows?
-Is there any fix for games not registering inputs from a configured controller on steam?

Close Steam and DS4Windows.
Remove the wireless controller.
Reboot PC.
Load DS4Windows and repair the DS4.
Once paired make sure "Hide DS4 Controller" is enabled in the settings.
Load Steam and it should hopefully be working now.

It starts to get screw for me if I've loaded Steam before DS4windows and I need to redo everything again. You don't need to have a DS4 turned on and connected but DS4windows needs to be loaded before Steam. Provided it is I can turn multiple DS4 controller on and off without having any issues gaming with them.

EDIT: Oh and yes disable Steams DS4 support if you intend to stick to using DS4Windows.
